It seems that deer are really hungry this year. I have had more people ask me the question "What plants will deer not eat?"
Little Thumper, the rabbit, is not much better. So, I put together a list of Perennials and Annuals that are Deer and Rabbit Resistant. This does not mean that they will not devour your plants; it just means that they are less likely to.
We also carry a product called Liquid Fence that has worked well for most people. It is a natural product that stinks to the deer, so they are less likely to eat your plants. You must respray after rain events to get the best result. And for some people you may need to build the Great Wall of China.
While doing my research on this issue, it seems that deer and rabbits do not like aromatic herbs. By planting some herbs like thyme or alyssum among your perennials, it may help to detour the deer.
The list below contains the Perennials and Annuals that we carry that are deer and rabbit resistant. Look for our signs while shopping in our greenhouse. The signs with a Deer or Rabbit on them indicate the plants that are considered resistant. Hope this will help and good luck.
